Opening Day in Hamburg

Hamburg is under way! Tsonga, who lost his first set 0-6 to Nicholas Mahut, rallied back to win 0-6, 7-6, 6-2. Andy Murray also advanced, along with fellow seed Juan Monaco. None of the big names are in action yet, so I will give you an update on the later. Murray had a tough first rounder, matchd up with Dmitry Tursonov, but handled him fairly easily, beating him 6-4 6-1. It was Canas who was the first upset, losing to Micheal Llodra 7-6 6-2. Safin, who has been struggling, managed to beat Marin Cilic, giving him a rare second round appearance.
In other news, Djokovic is closing in on the #2 ranking. The two are set up to face each other in the semis, which will make for a great match. The winner will come out as the #2 ranked player. Djokovic also revealed that he has plans to reach #1 this year! High expectations.
